The iShares DJ Select Dividend Index Fund (Ticker: DVY) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index. The Index represents the top 100 U.S. stocks by dividend yield in the Dow Jones U.S. Total Market Index, which covers approximately 95% of the U.S. equity market by capitalization. Issues are ranked in descending order of indicated annual yield, defined as a stock’s indicated annual cash dividend (not including any special dividends) divided by its price. Any current component stock with a three-month average daily trading volume of less than 100,000 shares is deemed ineligible for selection. All remaining current component stocks ranked 150 and above are retained in the index. Stocks that are not current components are added to the index until the component count reaches 100. A company’s weight in the index is based on its indicated annual dividend. Individual securities are capped at 10%. The Index is reconstructed annually.
