The First Trust Dow Jones Internet Index Fund (Ticker: FDN)seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the Dow Jones Internet Index. For a stock to be included in the selection universe for the index, a company must generate at least 50% of its annual sales/revenues from the Internet. Index components are selected from the eligible universe using a combination of three-month average float-adjusted market capitalization and three-month average share volume with a goal of capturing 80% of the float-adjusted selection universe. The index contains two sub-indexes, the Dow Jones Internet Commerce
Index and the Dow Jones Internet Services Index. Though the total
stock number has remained at 40 since the index's inception in February 1999, this number is not fixed, but rather may be raised as the market grows to cover at least 80% of market capitalization. The index is weighted by market capitalization subject to a 10% cap.
