The Market Vectors Coal ETF (Ticker: KOL) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the Stowe Coal Index. Index constituents include a globally diversified group of global coal companies engaged in five primary coal sectors: coal mining and production, coal transportation, coal technology, coal mining equipment and coal power generation. Component companies must be “principally engaged” in the coal industry (derive at least 50% of revenues from applicable sources) with a market cap larger than $100 Million. Constituent companies are predominantly located in the U.S., Hong Kong, Indonesia & Australia. The index is rules-based, modified-capitalization-weighted, float-adjusted with an 8% maximum weight per security.
