The PowerShares FTSE RAFI Energy Sector Portfolio Fund (Ticker: PRFE) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the FTSE Research Affiliates Fundamentals Oil & Gas Sector Index. The index is designed to track the performance of the largest U.S. oil and gas equities, selected based on the following four fundamental measures of firm size: book value, cash flow, sales and dividends. The U.S. oil and gas equities with the highest fundamental strength are weighted by their fundamental scores. The companies are principally engaged in the production, distribution and servicing of energy-related products, including solar, wind and other non-oil-based energy, oil and gas-based energy, oil services, refining, and pipeline production distribution and servicing.
