The Rydex S&P Equal Weight ETF (Ticker: RSP) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P Equal Weight Index. The index gives all S&P 500 stocks an equal weighting. The S&P 500 Index covers approximately 75% of the U.S. equity market and is maintained by the S&P Index Committee, a team of Standard & Poor's economists and index analysts, who meet on a regular basis. The goal of the Index Committee is to ensure that the S&P 500 remains a leading indicator of U.S. equities, reflecting the risk and return characteristics of the broader large cap universe on an on-going basis. The S&P Index Committee follows a set of published guidelines for maintaining the index. The S&P 500 Equal Weight Index is rebalanced every quarter to maintain its equal weight strategy.
