The Vanguard Small Cap Value ETF (Ticker: VBR) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI US Small Cap Value Index. The index represents the value companies of the MSCI US Small Cap 1750 Index. Constituents are reviewed semi-annually for style and quarterly for size. MSCI uses 3 key factors to determine value and 5 key factors to determine growth. Style placement is based on a composite score of the style factors. Buffer zones help limit index turnover caused by temporary migration of securities from one size index to another during quarterly size reviews and from one style to the other during semi-annual style reviews.
