The Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (Ticker: VTI) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI US Broad Market Index. The index is the aggregation of the MSCI US Investable Market 2500 and Micro Cap Index. The index targets for inclusion 99.5% of the capitalization of the US equity market and totals approximately 3900 securities. Initial public offerings that merit inclusion in the index and corporate events that affect components of the index are included or deleted as they occur. Although the fund manager technically samples the index, the fund holds over 90% of the constituents in the index.
