Index IQ Adds Mid-Cap ETF to its Lineup

IndexIQ launched a new ‘first of its kind’ ETF, which provides exposure to mid-cap emerging market equities. The IQ Emerging Markets Mid-Cap ETF (NYSEArca: EMER) tracks the performance of the IQ Emerging Markets Mid Cap Index, which is a float-adjusted, market-cap weighted Index composed of emerging market companies in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa/Middle East.


The annual expense ratio for EMER is 0.75%

EMER joins IndexIQ’s lineup of 14 exchange-traded products, which include the following:

 --IQ South Korea Small Cap ETF (NYSEArca: SKOR)

--IQ Taiwan Small Cap ETF (NYSEArca: TWON)

--IQ Australia Small Cap ETF (NYSEArca: KROO)

VanEck Global introduced an ETF that focuses on exposure to closed-end municipal bond funds. The Market Vectors CEF Municipal Income ETF (NYSEArca: XMPT) tracks the performance of the S-Network Municipal Bond Closed –End Fund Index. The Index is composed of US listed closed-end funds (CEFs) that produce federally tax-exempt income.  

 

The Market Vectors CEF Municipal Income ETF “is unique in the way it allows for access to tax-exempt income and in the way it provides passive access to the world of active municipal bond management,” said Jim Colby, the Senior Municipal Strategist for VanEck Global.

 

The annual expense ratio for XMPT is 1.43%

ProShares launched the ProShares Hedge Replication ETF (NYSEArca: HDG). HDG tracks the Merrill Lynch Factor Model – Exchange Series Benchmark.

 

“Many portfolios could benefit from the risk/return characteristics of hedge funds, but investors often either can’t or don’t invest in hedge funds because of a variety of challenges,” said Michael L. Sapir, Chairman and CEO of ProShare Advisors LLC, ProShares' investment advisor.  “We are pleased to offer an ETF that addresses challenges of hedge fund investing and may be, for many investors, an attractive alternative to hedge funds.”

 

HDG has an annual expense ratio of 0.95%.

 

ProShares now has over $27 billion in assets and 121 exchange-traded products.
