I have a small account with Fidelity. What is the Advantage and Disadvantage of Trading a Fidelity Sectors ETFs commissions free or SPDR Sectors ETFs
Hi Nasher,
Advantages: No trading commission to buy or sell Fidelity Sector ETFs and their expense ratios are extremely competitive and lower vs. most sector ETFs.
Disadvantages: You pay a trading commission on non-Fidelity sector ETFs. Also, if you decide to stick with Fidelity Sector ETFs…they may have wider bid/ask spreads vs. Sector SPDR ETFs which increases your trading costs. Generally, ETFs with higher trading volume have tighter bid/ask spreads thereby reducing trading costs.
